Landscape Design & Installation
Landscape design is a step-by-step procedure that demands patience, skill and creativity. We start with how you actually use your yard, then combine form with function and beauty with utility.
Landscape Design & Installation from Outfront Landscaping — available across Palm Beach and northern Broward County for both residential and commercial properties. Free estimates, no contract required on maintenance. Call or text (561) 877-9154.
A well designed landscape is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Whether you want a front elevation that finally matches the house or a back yard built for relaxing and entertaining, the process begins the same way: understanding what you need, what you want, and what the site will actually support.
That last part matters more in South Florida than most people expect. Sandy soil, a high water table in the eastern half of the county, alkaline fill in newer developments, salt exposure near the Intracoastal and full-sun exposures that punish the wrong plant choice all shape what belongs where. We design around those conditions instead of fighting them.

Landscaping FAQs
What plants actually thrive in Palm Beach County?
We are in USDA Zone 10b, so the palette is wide but specific. Reliable performers include clusia, cocoplum, green island ficus, dwarf firebush, croton, ixora, podocarpus, silver buttonwood and muhly grass, alongside royal, foxtail, coconut, Christmas and sabal palms. Salt tolerance becomes the deciding factor east of the Intracoastal.
How long before a new landscape fills in?
Most shrub and ground cover installations read as established within six to twelve months. Hedges planted for privacy typically need a full year or two to knit together, which is why spacing at install is worth getting right the first time.
Can you work with my HOA architectural committee?
Yes. Many Palm Beach County communities require plan approval before anything goes in the ground. We routinely provide plant lists and layouts in the format ARC boards ask for.
Do you handle commercial properties?
We do — executive office buildings, multifamily and HOA communities, retail centers and corporate offices. Image is critical to the value of a commercial property, and the landscape is the first thing anyone sees.
When is the best time to plant in South Florida?
You can plant almost year-round here, but the sweet spot is the start of the rainy season in late spring, when natural rainfall does most of the establishment watering for you. Planting in the dry months works fine as long as irrigation is dialed in.
