Landscape Lighting

Landscape lighting is what makes a property work after sunset — which in South Florida is when people are actually outside.

Landscape Lighting from Outfront Landscaping — available across Palm Beach and northern Broward County for both residential and commercial properties. Free estimates, no contract required on maintenance. Call or text (561) 877-9154.

A landscape you paid for is invisible twelve hours a day unless it is lit. Low-voltage lighting changes that: it extends the usable hours of a patio, makes entries and walkways safe to navigate, adds a genuine security layer, and turns the palms you already own into the best feature on the property.

The technique that matters most here is uplighting palms. A royal or coconut palm lit from below reads as sculpture at night, and it is the single highest-impact lighting move available on a typical Florida lot.

Our process

How a lighting install goes in

  1. Night walk

We look at the property after dark. Lighting design decisions made at noon rarely survive contact with the actual site.

  2. Design the layers

Uplights, path lights and accents planned as one composition instead of scattered fixtures.

  3. Install

Transformer set, low-voltage cable buried, fixtures placed and aimed.

  4. Aim at night

Final aiming happens in the dark with the system on. This is the step that separates a good install from a mediocre one.

Questions

Lighting FAQs

Is landscape lighting expensive to run?

Not with LED. A full low-voltage LED system typically draws less power than a couple of household light bulbs, and modern fixtures last for years before anything needs replacing.

Will the fixtures survive Florida weather?

The good ones will. Salt air near the coast is brutal on cheap fixtures — brass and copper hold up where powder-coated aluminum corrodes. It is worth spending more on the fixture body in coastal Palm Beach County, and less worth it inland.

Can lighting be added to an existing landscape?

Yes. Low-voltage cable is buried shallow and routed through beds, so a system can be added to a finished landscape with very little disruption.

How many fixtures does a typical house need?

A front elevation on a typical Palm Beach County home usually lands somewhere between eight and twenty fixtures depending on width, the number of palms and how much architecture there is to light. Restraint reads better than volume — a few well-aimed lights beat a runway of path lights.
